Lille, April 29, 2025 - La Préfecture du Nord took a prefectural order in view of the match between LOSC and Olympique de Marseille on Sunday, May 4. Marseille fans are limited and framed in their arrival at the Pierre Mauroy stadium in Villeneuve d’Ascq.
This meeting between the two Ligue 1 teams, who compete for second place in the standings, promises to be intense. The Lille and Marseille supporters are expected in numbers, but the Prefecture has taken steps to ensure the safety of all.
The prefectural order prohibits anyone without a ticket or counter mark from approaching the stadium between noon and midnight. Unofficial Marseille fans are also prohibited outside the course organized by their club.
The LOSC has informed that it will exercise its right to prohibit access to the stadium to any person who does not comply with these measures. The area of the south court will be closed for security reasons, and the Marseille supporters will be escorted by law enforcement from the Fresnes-Lès-Montauban toll on the A1.
These measures are justified by several incidents in 2023 and 2024 around the Pierre Mauroy stadium, as well as by recent conflicts between Lille and Marseille supporters. This opposition was classified at risk by the authorities.
