The AS Saint-Étienne implemented a consistent lending policy during this season, allowing several of its players to learn and gain experience in other teams. Among the players involved are Beres Owusu, loaned to Quevilly Rouen, and Darling Bladi, engaged with Bourg-Peronnas. Other elements of the Stéphanois group, such as Karim Cissé (Annecy), Ayman Aiki (Bastia) and Jibril Othman (Francs Borains), are temporarily changing in different colours until the end of the season, offering everyone an opportunity for development and for playing time.
The performances of these loaned players varied during the weekend games. Beres Owusu and Quevilly Rouen won a valuable draw against Valenciennes, an encouraging result in their fight for the maintenance. The human rights defender expressed his satisfaction with this outcome and reiterated his ambition to become a member of ASSE, stressing that he will participate in the upcoming preparatory courses with the firm intention of becoming a member of the team. Unfortunately, Darling Bladi and Bourg-Peronnas suffered a defeat against FC Rouen, despite the tenure and presence on the entire game of the player loaned.
Finally, Jibril Othman contributed to the victory of his team, the Borains Francs, against Anderlecht’s reserve in the second Belgian division. On the other hand, Karim Cissé and Ayman Aiki were not aligned respectively with Annecy and Bastia, highlighting the diversity of the routes and opportunities offered by these loans in the development of the young talents of AS Saint-Étienne.
