The Olympique de Marseille organised an internship in Italy this week to prepare for the last four games of the season. The club moved north of Rome until Saturday, in order to focus fully on the reception of Brest next Sunday at the Vélodrome stadium. This greening also creates a more serene environment and away from Marseille pressure.
Roberto De Zerbi called 28 players for this training course, including four young people from the training centre: Robinio Vaz, Keyliane Abdallah, Darryl Bakola and Alexi Koum. This immersion in the professional group will offer them a valuable experience as OM approaches a crucial end of the season for its European ambitions.
Theo Vermot, arrived last summer from Fréjus, is present as third guard. Chancel Mbemba, on the other hand, is not part of the group that went to Italy. According to Provence, the Congolese defender should continue the season with the club’s reserve.
The Marseille group also includes guards Geronimo Rulli and Jeffrey De Lange, as well as defenders Quentin Merlin, Luiz Felipe, Leonardo Balerdi, Ulisses Garcia, Derek Cornelius, Pol Lirola, Amir Murillo, Amar Dedić and Alexi Koum. Field media include Amine Harit, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Valentin Rongier, Ismael Bennacer, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Adrien Rabiot, Bilal Nadir and Darryl Bakola. The attackers are Neal Maupay, Amine Gouiri, Mason Greenwood, Faris Moumbagna, Jonathan Rowe, Luis Henrique, Robinio Vaz and Keyliane Abdallah.
With this greening, OM hopes to strengthen the group’s cohesion and give each other every chance to finish strong this season. The eyes are now turned towards
