Lucas Michal ready to leave Monaco for more play time

According to information relayed by Nice-Matin, the young AS Monaco attacker, Lucas Michal, could leave the club this summer in search of regular playing time. Despite a contract extension until 2029, several Ligue 1 teams were interested in his profile. Michal, trained in Monaco, is aware of the increased competition for his position, with players such as Biereth, Embolo, Balogun and Ilenikhena ahead of him in the offensive hierarchy. Coach Adi Hütter cannot guarantee him a position as a holder, which prompts him to consider a start to gain experience, and the Monegasque club is currently studying the possibility of a loan or sale.

AS Monaco finished its summer preparations in England with a 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest, after a week including a 5-0 win over Coventry. Adi Hütter highlighted the team’s positive performance, particularly in terms of defensive strength with three consecutive clean sheets. He also praised the first with Pope Cabral’s professional group and the team’s ability to apply the lessons of field training. The coach expressed satisfaction with this week of preparation and the physical condition of the players, while stressing the importance of strengthening the team.

The summer will be a thrill for the AS Monaco team, with the arrival of three players and the possibility to see two starts. In addition to Lucas Michal, other players could leave the club, including Georges Ilenikhena, whose start could be linked to Breel Embolo’s, and Saimon Bouabré, at the end of the contract. Leaders are open to offers for players like Caio Henrique, Mohammed Salisu and Eliesse Ben Seghir, but are demanding in terms of amounts, especially for Vanderson and Maghne Akliouche. Starts are also planned for Wilfried Singoet, Kassum Ouattaar, Radoslaw Majecki, Krépin Diatta, and potentially other players. Adi Hütter favours a four-player defence and believes that the team has the necessary staff to implement this strategy.
