The Olympique de Marseille (OM) is about to unveil its new jerseys for next season. According to the specialized Opaleak website, the outer and third outfits (third jersey) could adopt new blue tones. The outdoor kit would combine a dark navy blue with a brighter blue, while the third, which could be worn during the European matches, would rely on a mix of bright blue and sky blue. These elements remain to be confirmed, but could signal an evolution in the club’s visual identity for its meetings outside the Vélodrome.
While waiting for the official presentation of the equipment by OM and its equipment manufacturer, fans are already eager to discover these new jerseys that could well become collectors’ items.
In another register, the president of Olympique de Marseille, Pablo Longoria, wanted to clarify the situation within the club during an interview granted to RMC Sport. Faced with rumours of internal tensions, the Spanish leader wanted to deny these allegations and insisted on the unity between himself, Mehdi Benatia and Roberto De Zerbi, the coach of the first team. According to Longoria, there would be no disagreement or conflict between the Marseille decision-makers, who work collectively to advance the club.
Finally, Olympique de Marseille seeks to strengthen its defensive sector in view of the summer mercato. Several profiles are studied, including Aymeric Laporte, Kalidou Kolibaly, Facundo Medina, Olivier Boscagli and Yusuf Akçiçek. The choice will depend as much on market opportunities as on the club’s willingness to invest in the short- or long-term to strengthen an outstanding defensive sector.
