Azzdine Ouahni, the middle of the Maroccan field, might consider a return to Panathinakaikos, a Greek club where he shone on his previous loan. Currently in lack of playing time at the Olympique de Marseille (OM) under the direction of Roberto De Zerbi, Ouahni is not included in the coach’s plans. His visit to Greece, however, had been particularly successful, allowing him to regain his creativity and physical fitness, and even earning him the title of best player elected by the fans.
The Panathinakaikos, reinforced by the upcoming sale of Geórgios VagiannÃdis to the Sporting CP for an estimated amount of 15 million euros, would be interested in a new offensive recruitment and plans to relaunch negotiations for Ouahni. Although the Greek club was unable to conclude the purchase of its player at the end of the previous season, it remains determined to recruit it. At the moment, no official offer has been formally sent, but the Pana is preparing to seize the opportunity.
OM, for its part, received several offers for Ouahni, notably from Spartak Moscow, but these did not satisfy the Moroccan leaders. Girona also made a proposal deemed insufficient, the Phocean club maintaining a price of 12 million euros. With a mercato still open, a new start for the Moroccan international remains a real possibility. OM is also active in the search for other tracks, notably for Zhegrova, while exploring emergency plans.
