OM triumphs after its Italian internship and aims at LOSC

After a week of training in Italy, the Olympique de Marseille won a convincing victory against Stade Brestois (4-1). Marseille players intend to re-release this performance as it approaches a crucial game against the LOSC. For the past week, the media has only talked about OM’s internship in Rome, organised to prepare for the end of the season and a possible qualification in the Champions League.

OM coach Roberto De Zerbi said at the Vélodrome on Sunday: “You’ve kept talking about the internship, the greening, spaghetti. You took my head off with this. But I’ve always done things differently.” The players took advantage of a grand setting in Italy, with seven fields, a stadium of 2,500 seats, a gym, training grounds and two swimming pools.

OM management decided to repeat this experience this Tuesday, returning to Italy to work together. According to Roberto De Zerbi, “it’s not punishment, players are happy”. Amine Gouiri added: “We’re all united because we meet every day and work well.”

The LOSC (3rd, 56 points) could charge for it next Sunday in the game of the 32nd day of Ligue 1. If OM (2nd, 58 points) wins the game, they will overtake the Lille team in the standings. However, Bruno Genesio did not want to talk about it at his press conference a few days ago.
