Asensio ready to Fenerbahçe agreement outstanding victory PSG World Cup

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the Fenerbahçe, Turkish club, would have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Spanish striker Marco Asensio. After a successful loan to Aston Villa under the direction of Unaï Emery, Asensio returned to Paris with good resolutions. Despite an encouraging performance over the past six months, he was not included in Luis Enrique’s plans and should therefore leave the Paris club, whose contract expires in a year. The Fenerbahçe has shown a sustained interest for the 29-year-old player for several weeks, and negotiations with the PSG have intensified in recent days, leading to an undisclosed financial agreement.

However, Marco Asensio’s arrival in Turkey is not yet guaranteed. The player has not yet accepted the terms of the transfer offered by the Fenerbahçe, and other well-known European clubs, such as AC Milan and Villarreal, are also interested. Villarreal, qualified for the next Champions League, is particularly under pressure. The next few hours will be crucial to determine the future of Asensio and its final decision on its next destination.

Apart from this transfer situation, the PSG won a large 4-0 win over Real Madrid in the semifinal of the World Cup of Clubs. Real Madrid, led by its new coach Xabi Alonso, has been largely dominated by the defending European champion, who has had an exceptional form since February. Alonso highlighted the very high level of play achieved by the PSG since this period.
