The Racing Club de Strasbourg continues to reshuffle its staff. One of the players involved is Yoni Gomis, the 19-year-old defender, who will join the KSK Beveren in Belgium for a loan period without purchase option. Gomis, arrived last summer from Le Havre, had only one appearance with the first team, in the Coupe de France last season. He has mainly evolved with reserve in National 3, and recently won the Maurice Revello tournament with the young. This start represents an opportunity for the player to gain experience in a different championship.
The Racing Club de Strasbourg team is also in mourning. Attacker Sékou Mara is going through a difficult period following the death of his father-in-law, Thierry Ardisson. Ardisson, emblematic figure of the French audiovisual landscape, was a well-known animator and producer. The entire team of Alsace Sports expresses its deepest condolences to Sékou Mara, his family and loved ones, demonstrating the humanity and solidarity that unite the players.
Finally, the young French talents Ismaël Doukuré and Félix Lemaréchal resumed training after participating in Euro Espoirs. They enjoyed an additional week of rest before joining their teammates at Racing Soprema Parc. The French U21 team had stopped in the Euro Espoirs semifinal after a defeat against Germany, before losing the final against England in overtime. Their return to training is therefore a positive sign for the future of the club.
