Parc OL final candidature Coupe de France 2026

The OL Park marked its entry into the field in January 2016 with its inauguration, aimed at hosting the meetings of Olympique Lyonnais, as well as the most prestigious European events. Two years later, the stadium of the Déchennes hosted the final of the Europa League between Atlético de Madrid and Olympique de Marseille, highlighting the qualities of this modern venue. Since then, the OL Park and the Déchennes stadium have continued to host important matches, including meetings of the French team and international sports competitions, such as the 2024 Olympic Games, which will take place in Lille.

This year, OL, the owner of its stadium, expressed their interest in hosting the final of the Coupe de France in 2026, scheduled for May 23. If the Lyon team reaches the final, it will require a different performance than last season, where they were eliminated from the 16th final by Bourgoin-Jallieu (2-2, 4-2 in the shots at the goal) after a season marked by a qualifying for the final of the Champions League, lost to PSG at the Décathlon Arena in Lille (2-1).

The competition to host this event is open, with the Stade de France and Stade Pierre Mauroy potentially chosen. The Lille event could be repeated, with a final for the second time in three years. The final decision will be taken at the next executive committee of the French Football Federation.
