DAZN, the main broadcaster of the French football championship this season, did not meet a deadline of 70 million euros due on 30 April. The Professional Football League (LFP) has granted the British company a deadline to settle this debt. However, according to the Team’s information, DAZN continues to seek common ground with the LFP regarding the future of their collaboration.
This situation could affect the contract between DAZN and the LFP until 2029. In fact, DAZN claims 573 million euros in court for “missing observation” and “tromping goods”. However, the allocation of the amount received on 30 April is scheduled for 16 May, which should allow Ligue 1 clubs to receive their share in full.
