While players from Olympique de Marseille (OM) left their Commanderie training centre for a prolonged green start in Italy, two former players from the club, Christophe Dugarry and รric Di Meco, expressed their views on this decision. In Rhoten S’enflame on RMC Sport, Dugarry said he was shocked by this initiative that would once again hit the players’ minds. He believes that if problems exist within the club, those responsible should be dismissed rather than accusing players of not being able to concentrate or remain in solidarity. Dugarry also stressed the mental fragility of the group after several consecutive defeats.
Di Meco, a consultant for the Football Club in Marseille, discussed the final issues of the season and the choice of staff. He believes that this greening is a message sent to players to save their season and avoid temptations in the South of France. However, he cautioned against any mistrust of the Commander’s environment, pointing out that it would be easy to shoot the club if problems actually existed there.
