Women’s OL are dominant on the national level but painful in the Champions League. The Fenottes were eliminated on Sunday in the semifinals after a heavy home defeat against Arsenal (1-4). They will therefore have to settle for the championship, which they lead largely with at least seven points ahead of the PSG, their main pursuer. At the end of the regular season, the Lyon Olympian was still undefeated with 19 wins and two draws. Even by turning his team, as in the match in Nantes (0-2), the Rhodanian club demonstrates its superiority.

At the D1 trophy ceremony in Paris on Monday night, OL were rewarded in several categories. Chilean goaltender Christiane Endler won the top goaltender title for the fifth time, after 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. The best player is Clara Mateo from Paris FC, who won the trophy against Lindsey Heaps and Melchie Dumornay from OL. The versatile Haitian was also rewarded as a March footballer. For coaches, Joe Montemurro of OL must bow against Sandrine Soubeyrand (Paris FC), the winner.

Finally, in the best eleven of the competition, besides Endler, Heaps and Dumornay, Ellie Carpenter, Vanessa Gilles, Wendie Renard and Damaris Egurrola are featured.
