The future of Magnes Akliouche in Monaco seems to be expanding, which was a great relief for Monegasque supporters. This contrasts with the departure of iconic captain Denis Zakaria, who chose to remain despite Saudi Arabia’s numerous demands. Akliouche, a true midfielder in the previous season, achieved an exceptional 2024-2025 season with 7 goals and 12 assists from all competitions. His value was confirmed on the first day of Ligue 1, when he scored in the victory against Le Havre. Several major European clubs, including PSG, Manchester City, Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Milan, have shown interest in the 22-year-old player, although each track presents challenges.
Paris Saint-Germain could only consider an approach if Kang-in Lee left the club, given the large number of offensive circles already present. The Bayer Leverkusen, on the other hand, seems more interested and could seriously consider the matter. Inter Milan, considered the most willing club, has not yet made a concrete offer. Monaco’s Managing Director Thiago Scuro has publicly declared the club’s ambition to keep Akliouche, stressing that he is well integrated in Monaco and that there is no urgency to make a decision. The club hopes to be able to offer him a new season that will benefit him and the team.
At the same time, the Monegasque club is working to lighten its staff, with Eliesse Ben Seghiur as one of the most likely players to leave, probably towards a German club like Dortmund or Leverkusen. Bayern Munich would be less likely to recruit him. Monaco wants to get at least 35 million euros for the player, while Bayer Leverkusen currently offers 25 million euros, less than Transfermarkt’s estimate (28 million euros). Other players such as Wilfried Singo, Breel Embolo, Sougoutou Magassa, Krรฉpin Diatta and Myron Boa du are also courted by other clubs. The future of Akliouche therefore remains uncertain, waiting to see whether the Monegasque leaders will accept a sufficiently interesting offer.
