CF Annecy targets two young talents from RC Lens on loan

CF Annecy, with its close ties to RC Lens, is planning to strengthen its workforce during the next summer transfer window. According to the newspaper Le Dauphine, the Savois club initiated negotiations for the loan acquisition of two young players from the Lenois club: attacker Rayan Fofana, 19, and central defender Souleymane Sagnan, 20,. This approach is part of the continuation of a positive experience experienced last season with the successful loans of Anthony Bermont and Ismaëlo Ganiou. Discussions between the two clubs are currently ongoing, although no formal agreement has yet been reached.

Rayan Fofana, a product of the Lens school and under contract until 2027, enjoyed significant playtime during the summer preparations under the direction of Pierre Sage. Souleymane Sagnan, an international U20 from Mali, signed his first professional contract with RC Lens in July and is now linked to the club until 2028. Both young players express a desire to get more minutes of play this season, making a loan to FC Annecy a serious option, especially for Fofana.

The possible arrival of a new attacker at RC Lens, as suggested by Pierre Sage, could make a departure of Rayan Fofana inevitable. With the presence of players such as Martin Satriano and Wesley Said, the progressive return of Rémy Label Lascary and the likely recruitment of a pre-centre, Fofana could have a better chance of progressing by getting regular play time at Annecy. This situation could therefore facilitate the conclusion of a loan agreement between the two clubs.
