ASSE prepares the summer with optimism and key reinforcements

ASSE begins the summer preparation with palpable optimism, the result of a convincing friendly success against the Star Carouge FC (3-1) during the internship at Chambon. This victory, marked by the achievements of Ben Old, Lamine Fomba and Zuriko Davitashvili, bears witness to an encouraging collective intensity despite a staff in full construction. Players, including Djylian Nguessa, highlight the group’s cohesion, the integration of young talent and the positive atmosphere within the club. The main objective of this preparation phase is to strengthen the team physically and tactically, while integrating new players and strengthening team spirit.

The ASSE summer mercato is also a key component of this preparation. The club formalized the transfer of Ibrahim Sissoko to VfL Bochum, ending a beautiful five-season collaboration. However, the arrival of Chico Lamba, a young Portuguese central defender, is the major event of this period. This talented and promising player joins the ASSE to strengthen the defence axis and perfectly embodies the club’s sporting vision. The arrival of Lamba, as well as the adjustments of the mercato, are seen as major assets for the coming season.

ASSE has scheduled a series of high-level preparation games to refine its game and prepare at best for the start of the championship in early August. The next tests include meetings against Troyes, Servette, Paris FC and Cagliari. The objective is clear: to arrive with a sharp, balanced and ambitious workforce, ready to meet the challenges of the League 1. The first signals are positive and ASSE is determined to redeem itself and regain its place among the elite of French football.
