The Olympique de Marseille continues its summer preparation with a second friendly match scheduled on Monday 21 July at 6 p.m. against Olympic Charleroi, a meeting organised in camera at the KNVB Campus in the Netherlands. This test against the Belgian team, playing in the Challenger Pro Leagues, is part of the first stage of preparation of the team led by Roberto De Zerbi since 17 July. The event will be broadcast free live on the club’s official YouTube channel and on om.fr, allowing fans to follow the team’s evolution.
The game against Excelsior Maassluis, won 5-0, demonstrated an encouraging collective mastery on the part of the Marseillais, with a notable performance by the new recruits and a triple of attacker Greenwood. This new meeting will provide an additional opportunity to observe the team’s first automations, in an environment of intense physical preparation. Roberto De Zerbi continues to put in place his game principles while giving progressive play time to the entire staff.
It should be noted that four of OM’s six friendly games this summer will be broadcast live, an initiative to strengthen the link with fans during the interseason. After this second game, the team will remain in the Netherlands until July 25 before returning to Marseille for the rest of its summer program. This commitment to transparency and proximity reflects the club’s commitment to its fan community.
