** GMP begins to activate in the transfer market during the current season**
Although the season is not yet over for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the club of the French capital is already beginning to prepare its summer mercato. Champion of France in title and in search of invincibility in Ligue 1, qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League, the PSG looks at its next transfer market with a clear objective: to avoid the blows of madness.
The Parisian club wants to build a young and ambitious team, despite an already very full staff. A particular position is targeted by Luis Campos, the club’s sports director, to strengthen the rotation: that of a central right defender. If Marquinhos is more than convincing this season, the PSG is already thinking about the future and is looking for a successor to the Brazilian defender who is starting to get old.
The question already arose during the winter mercato: what profile should be preferred to strengthen central defence? According to the Italian press, the PSG is interested in Mario Gila, a Spanish defender of Lazio, aged 24. Luis Campos would have even been watching the player in the quarter final return of Europa League.
The young Dutch defender Dean Huijsen (20 years old), targeted by Real Madrid, is also one of the most cited names on the Parisian side, even though his price exploded after his good season in England (42 million euros according to Transfermarkt).
Other more renowned names in Hexagon, such as that of Ibrahima Konate, also return with persistence. The player, a native of Paris, would not be insensitive to PSG advances.
There will therefore be a movement on the Parisian side during the next summer mercato, but for the moment we still have to wait to know the next recruits of the reigning French champion.
