OL: Moving to Nantes before the C1 final

The penultimate day of the First League is approaching and with it, a trip to Nantes for OL players. Although this match may not be the most important of the season, it takes place between the C1 semifinals and Arsenal (19/04 and 27/04). Joe Montemurro will therefore have to carefully manage the players’ bodies and fatigues to avoid unnecessary fatigue before a potential Champions League final.

The game on Wednesday 23 April (21 hours) may not have more stakes for Nantes, which is already kept in the soft belly of the ranking and no longer has the mathematical ability to hang up the play-offs. However, it is certain that the Nantais will want to win against the eight-time European champions.

For their part, the players of Wendie Renard will have to show that the draw conceded to Parc OL against Paris FC (2-2) was only an accident of course. For this, the trip to Loire-Atlantique will be the ideal opportunity to recover.

The meeting will be arbitrated by Cécile Bessière, accompanied by Valérie Todeschini and Katia Laribi at the touch. Sylvia Philion will be the fourth referee. This will be the third OL meeting led by Cécile Bessière this season, after the trip to Dijon on 12 October (0-3) and the reception of Reims a month ago (8-1).

Finally, John Textor, owner of the club, once again showed his passion for football by attending the Easter tournament of the San Priot club, the Accord de Saint-Priest. He kicked off one of the U13 games, showing his commitment to the club’s young players. The leaders of the Agreement will be the guests of the next issue of “As long as there are Gones”.
