The Racing Club of Strasbourg and the Eurométropole have formalized a new convention to occupy the Meinau stadium, a strategic agreement for the further development of the site. Signed by Pia Imbs, President of Eurométropole, and Marc Keller, President of the Alsatian club, this 35-year partnership is a major step in the ambitious renovation of the stadium. It shows a shared desire to transform the Meinau into a place of life, sport and conviviality for the inhabitants and supporters.
The renovation work, launched in May 2023, is progressing according to a sustained schedule. Delivery of the South Tribune is scheduled as soon as the season opens in August, marking an important first step in modernization. Work will continue until 2026, including the renovation of the North and East stands, as well as the creation of the future Faenzone, a space designed to foster exchanges and integration with the surrounding neighbourhood.
This long-lasting partnership between the Eurométropole and the Racing Club in Strasbourg underlines the common commitment to make the Meinau an attraction for all. By investing in the modernization of the stadium and creating living and gathering spaces, both parties aim to strengthen the link between the club, supporters and the local community, while ensuring a quality living environment for future generations.
