Calum Daley strengthens the ASSE's physical staff

Calum Daley, from Saint-Étienne, joined ASSE as a physical preparer, following the recent arrival of his compatriot David Tivey in the staff. This recruitment underlines the club’s emphasis on the physical performance of its players. Daley brings solid expertise gained over many years in football, from sports schools to professional clubs. His journey is marked by a constant desire to develop athletics and to pass on the fundamentals of football to the younger generations, essential qualities for his current role.

CaLum Daley’s experience is rich and varied. He started in 2008 by attending amateur clubs and teaching football in schools. In 2016, he joined Charlton Athletic’s training centre, where he put his skills in physical preparation at the service of young talent. He then completed an internship at Crystal Palace in 2017 and continued to develop his physical accompaniment methods through his own centre, Daley Fitness, until 2019. His visit to Millwall, then to Ipswich Town and Colchester United, enabled him to refine his expertise in various contexts, including recovery and injury prevention protocols.

After working with the QP R U21 and returning to Charlton as a physical preparer for the women’s team, CaLum Daley chose to settle in Saint-Étienne. This decision marks an important step in his career, allowing him to stabilize his career and make a lasting contribution to the Stéphanois organization. Its main mission will be to optimize the fitness of the professional team, reduce the risk of injury and support individual player progression. Its scientific and methodical approach perfectly matches the demands of modern football, and ASSE relies on its adaptability and rigour to boost its workforce.
