Ligue 1+ launches and PSG defuses its staff

Ligue 1 started its new season with the opening of the dedicated channel, Ligue 1+, and a particularly interesting opening match between Stade Rennais and Olympique de Marseille. The game, which took place at Roazhon Park, saw a digital domination of the Stade Rennais for more than an hour, but the Marseillais managed to win, notably by scoring a goal in the additional time at the 91st minute. This defeat marked a hard blow for Stade Rennais, while Olympique de Marseille began the season on a positive note. The defending champion Paris Saint-Germain will begin his defence of his title on Sunday night with a trip to the Stade de la Beaujoire to face FC Nantes, now coached by Luis Castro.

In parallel with these sporting events, Paris Saint-Germain finalized the final transfer of Nordi Mukiele to Sunderland for more than 10 million euros. This decision, confirmed by RMC Sport, put an end to the rumours of loan and represents a nearly total recovery of the club’s initial investment for the player, who never managed to win under Luis Enrique. The player was allowed to travel to formalize this transfer, which could be realized quickly. This departure is in addition to that of Milan Skriniar, generating together more than 20 million euros of revenue for the PSG.

The Paris Saint-Germain actively pursues a policy of displacing its workforce. This strategy also includes the potential transfer of Randal Kolo Muani to the Juventus, for an estimated sum of over 50 million euros, including bonuses. These successive operations aim to maximize the earnings of players considered non-essential, allowing the club to save money and remodel its workforce for the coming season. The aim is to provide financial resources to support future projects and recruitment.
