Transfers and Euro 2025: OL on the move and France Women's Team

Olympique Lyonnais (OL) is experiencing significant movements within its workforce. Amin Sarr finally left the club after a loan to Hellas Verona, where he scored 4 goals in 32 games. The Italian club has lifted its purchase option of 5 million euros, with a bonus clause of 1.5 million euros. OL retains a 15% stake in a future transfer. Sarr, who arrived in January 2022, had only 22 meetings with OL, and his passage proved disappointing after an expensive acquisition of 11 million euros.

At the same time, OL announced the signature of Korbin Albert from Paris Saint-Germain. The 21-year-old American player made a commitment until June 2028 after spending two and a half years at the Women’s PSG, where she played 43 games, scored 5 goals and delivered 2 assists. Albert joins a new and promising project, and OL has been very responsive to ensure its services.

Finally, the French women’s team is about to start the Euro 2025 with a match against England, the defending European champion. Five OL players, including Diafi, Katoto, Majri, Sombahet and Bacha, are selected. Lucy Bronze, former OL player, expressed her admiration for France and her opinion on the absence of Wendiรฉ Renard, whom she considers to be a captain and an asset to the team. Renard’s absence is seen as a shock and could weaken the French team.
