L’Olympique Lyonnais unveiled its new third jersey for the 2025-2026 season, the result of a collaboration with Wallstreet, an iconic Lyon skate shop. The main inspiration for this design lies in skateboarding culture and Place Louis Pradel, nicknamed “Hôtel de Ville” by skaters. The pattern of the jersey follows the graphic lines of the steps of this place, while the main color evokes the slabs that make it up. Fluo details bring a contemporary and lifestyle touch, echoing the creative energy of the Lyon skate scene. The jersey is also distinguished by an elegant polo collar and a signature “HDV” in reference to “Hôtel de Ville”, all realized with a premium construction combining style and performance.
In parallel with this aesthetic innovation, Olympique Lyonnais is setting up a new support structure for its team. Daniel Congré, the sports coordinator, will be on the bench during all games, starting with the meeting against Angers SCO on Friday, September 19. Its role will be crucial: to embody the institution, to influence the events of the game and to serve as a link between the players and the referee, in particular to avoid the enthralling of arbitration-related situations. Paulo Fonseca, the coach, welcomes this initiative, stressing the importance of having a person familiar with the context of the game nearby.
The OL season was also marked by disciplinary decisions. Tyler Morton, an English midfielder, was suspended for a hard game and a suspended game following a cape expulsory in the match against Rennes. This is the first expulsion of the Ligue 1 season for a Lyon player. This sanction follows a debate on the seriousness of the fault, finally decided by the Arbitration Commission which confirmed the original decision. The integration of Daniel Congré on the bench and the management of disciplinary situations attests to the commitment of Olympique Lyonnais to support its team on all levels, both in the field and in administrative and relational aspects.
