Racing Strasbourg spends massively on European ambition PSG aims Chevaelier new flamboyant outfit

The Racing Club in Strasbourg has distinguished itself as the most expensive Ligue 1 club in the summer mercato, with an investment of more than 80 million euros. This accumulation of expenses, motivated by the club’s European ambitions and the support of its owner BlueCo, contrasts strongly with the more moderate policy of other teams. The transfers of players such as Mathis Amougou, Joaquin Panichelli and Valentin Barco’s purchase option lifting contributed to this impressive figure, placing the CBCN at the top of the championship expenses ranking, far ahead of Olympique de Marseille and RC Lens. Olympique Lyonnais, due to financial constraints, cannot compete with these expenses, while Paris Saint-Germain has favoured the stability of its workforce, not achieving any transfer at the moment.

Paris Saint-Germain is in the middle of negotiating to acquire Lucas Chevalier, goaltender of the LOSC. The Parisian club made a first offer, less than the 40 million euros requested by Lille, but which confirms its interest in the young guardian. Chevalier, trained in Lille, would be seduced by the Parisian project and would have given his agreement for a five-year contract. However, the success of this operation will depend on the PSG’s ability to convince Lille to lower its financial requirements, while finding a replacement for the guardian. Chevalier’s arrival would be seen as an important step in the MTP’s strategy to strengthen its workforce before the season resumed.

In parallel with these player movements, Paris Saint-Germain will unveil its third outfit for the 2025-2026 season. The outfit, whose design was unveiled in preview by Footy Headlines, is distinguished by a bright red colour, embellished with touches of marine blue. The club logo, centered on the torso and a blue shade, brings a touch of modernity and audacity to the whole. This new outfit is in keeping with the PSG brand, while offering a fresh and distinctive look for the coming season.
