Offensive strength and imminent start at the Racing Club in Strasbourg

The Racing Club in Strasbourg was enriched by a new summer recruit, the American striker Murphy Agnew, for a period of engagement until 2026. This arrival, the eleventh of the summer, considerably reinforced the club’s attack. Agnew, versatile, can evolve in wing or offensive medium. Her football course started in Harvard, before leading her in Iceland and Australia, and then in Celtic Glasgow where she shone 19 goals and 14 assists in 66 games, contributing to the title of Scotland champion in 2023-2024. This signature is part of a policy of massive reinforcement of Vincent Nogueira’s team in view of the 2024-2025 season and the consolidation of its retention in Ligue 1.

At the same time, attacker Emauneel Emegha announced his upcoming start of Racing to join Chelsea in the summer of 2026. This announcement, made in a video published by the club, comes after persistent rumours and confirms the player’s intentions to pursue his career in a Premier League team. Emegha expressed gratitude to Racing for the opportunity to progress and develop, while stressing its commitment to giving the best of itself until the end of the season. He stressed that he did not want speculation to distract the team and that he would remain focused on his objectives with Strasbourg.

Emegha explained that his decision to stay one more season was the result of an in-depth discussion with Racing and Chelsea, aiming to optimize his career and lead the club to Europe. He reaffirmed his total commitment to Racing until his start, promising to continue to give himself 100% in the field. This announcement marks a turning point for the club, which will have to prepare for the loss of a key player while continuing to invest in the future with the arrival of talents like Murphy Agnew.
