Florian Tardieu, after winning the 126th Derby of history between ASSE and OL, stopped in the mixed zone to share his impressions of this memorable victory. For him, it was his first experience in this historic game, and he confessed that the fervour around the derby was “beyond football”. Tardieu also stressed the importance of victory for the morale of players and supporters, but he remains lucid about the challenges that remain. He said: “It’s a real bowl of air for heads, for the club, for a whole region. But the work continues.” Tardieu also attributed the victory to the intensity put by the team, and stressed that even though the arbitration was not in their favour, they managed to maintain their advantage thanks to their mentality of winning at all costs. He concluded by saying that they must now focus on the next games to ensure divisional retention.
