FC Nantes runs after Pierre Sage for next season

FC Nantes would show a strong interest in OL coach Pierre Sage to strengthen his technical staff for next season. This rumour, relayed by Mohamed Toubache-Ter, intervenes in a context of crucial struggle for the continuation of the Canaries.

Antoine Kombouaré, currently head of the club, should remain until the end of the season, despite speculation, in order to lead the team towards safety. However, his future on the bench is not yet fully assured, as the club explores other tracks.

Four days before the end of the championship, FC Nantes is in 14th position (one game less) with only three points ahead of the first relegable.

In a context of disappointment after a collective performance deemed weak, especially in the first period, where players like Rémy Descamps have highlighted a lack of cohesion and links between the players, the club seeks to bring about a change of dynamics. Descamps mentioned in particular an “awareness” after a prolonged interruption, allowing the team to correct the shot, notably by improving its cleaning.

Questions remain concerning the decision of the arbitrator concerning a fault inflicted on Corentin Tolisso, with doubts as to the exact nature of the injury.
