TF1 buys Club World Cup rights: PSG against Atlético Madrid opening

TF1 and DAZN have reached agreement that the first French channel buys the rights to broadcast two prestigious World Cup matches, which will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13. This competition raises as many questions as enthusiasm among football fans, and Paris Saint-Germain will be the only representative of Ligue 1. The Reds and Blues will open their tournament on June 15th at 9pm against Atlético Madrid, a game that could be broadcast on TF1 instead of DAZN. Initially, M6 was also negotiating with DAZN to acquire some of the broadcasting rights, but it was finally TF1 that won the bet.

A dilemma arises for TF1 if the PSG qualifies for the final: it will be played at the same time as the match France - Netherlands of the women’s Euro. The channel will then have to choose which match to broadcast as a priority and which to relegate to another antenna of the group.

Paris Saint-Germain is preparing for its semifinal go to Champions League against Arsenal, and Luis Enrique has been keen to get things straight with some of his players after seeing signs of relaxation in the last games. The Spanish coach is waiting for a full performance and a dynamic found Friday night against Nice (20:45) to arrive in London on Tuesday.
