Dimitri Payet, a professional football player, was heard by the Brazilian police following a complaint against him for physical and psychological violence. The complainant is Larissa Ferrari, a 28-year-old lawyer who claims to be in a relationship with the athlete. During his hearing, Mr Payet admitted that he had an extramarital relationship with Ms Ferrari but denied any form of aggression or violence.

According to the young woman, she suffers from a personality disorder characterized by hypersensitivity, which is confirmed by forensic examinations carried out by the Brazilian authorities. She calls for protective measures against the behaviour she describes as aggressive of her former partner.

For his part, Dimitri Payet claims that Larissa Ferrari wanted to continue their relationship after the end of his contract with the club Vasco da Gama, but that he refused. According to him, she then threatened to reveal their intimate secrets.

The leaders of Vasco da Gama said they were waiting for the results of the ongoing investigation to position themselves on this case.
