Stripped victory for ES Troyes AC: Official Ligue 2

ES Troyes AC won a narrow victory against USL Dunkirk on the 32nd day of Ligue 2. The locals dominated the possession of the ball (67%) and tried more shots at the goal (12 to 5), but that was not enough to ensure their victory. It was finally a penalty transformed by former LOSC resident Nicolas de Préville, which allowed the ES Troyes AC to win the 1-0 game.

This victory is very important for the ES Troyes AC which thus officially ensures its retention in Ligue 2 with two games to play. Stéphane Dumont’s players now have a ten-point lead over the first relegable (Martigues, 31 pts).

Unfortunately for the USL Dunkirk, this defeat placed them in barrage with three points ahead of the EA Guingamp (5th) and five over the Stade Lavallois (6th). Their place in Ligue 1 is therefore not yet assured.

Despite an injury to the adductor who prevented him from training all week, Ugo Raghuber was titularized by Luis Castro and played the whole game. The 21-year-old now has 29 appearances from all competitions this season, for a total of 2116 minutes played.
