Bajic in Strasbourg a new opportunity to flourish

The French-Serde goaltender Stéfan Bajic formalized his arrival at the Racing Club in Strasbourg for one season, after convincing the club in a one-month trial period that began on 24 July. This signature marks an important milestone for the young goaltender, who had impressed the Strasbourg staff with his performances in four friendly matches with Strasbourg this summer, notably against Galatasaray, Udinese, Sturm Graz and Mainz. His visit to Strasbourg is part of a desire to revive after two seasons almost without play in Bristol City, where he was loaned to Valenciennes during the 2022/2023 season.

Formed in Saint-Étienne, where he played nine games in Ligue 1, Stéfan Bajic then moved to Pau FC (15 games in Ligue 2) before joining Bristol City. His professional career was marked by loan periods and difficulties to win, with only one match played in the EFL Cup last season. This opportunity at Racing represents a chance to get back on track and assert itself as number 3 in the goaltender hierarchy, behind Mike Penders and Karl-Johan Johnsson.

Stéfan Bajic’s arrival at the Racing Club in Strasbourg is therefore the result of constant work and determination. After a successful trial period and a willingness to rebuild after difficult seasons, the young goaltender is committed to a season in order to progress and win in a Ligue 1 club. This signature reflects Racing’s recruitment policy, which builds on the potential of young players and their ability to flourish in a competitive environment.
