PSG against Nantes: a general rehearsal before Arsenal

Paris Saint-Germain travels to Nantes this Tuesday to face FC Nantes in the late match of the 29th day of Ligue 1. Luis Enrique convened a group of 21 players for this match, with a team almost in full one week before the semifinal go Champions League against Arsenal. Willian Pacho, absent this weekend due to illness, is back in the group. However, Ashraf Hakimi is not part of the trip and seems to be at rest for this meeting.

The Parisian group includes the guards Donnarumma and Safonov, as well as defenders Tenas, Kimpembe, N.Mendes, Marquinhos, Beraldo, Pacho and L.Hernandez. In the middle of the field are Mayulu, Zaire-Emery, F.Ruiz, Vitinha, Lee Kang-in and Joao Neves. In attack, Barcola, Kvaratskhelia, Ramos, Mbaye, Dembélé and Doué complete the group.

As the PSG prepares to face Nantes, Antoine Kombouaré, the coach of the Nantes club, warns the Parisians that his team will play to win. Former Red and Blue coach (2009-2011) points out that although he admires the PSG game, he intends to win this game because his team needs points to keep up with League 1.

In addition to the fight for support, the Nantais have an additional motivation: to protect the record of invincibility in Ligue 1 held by the Canaris since 1995 (32 games without defeat). Kombouaré says he wants to make the feat against the PSG and please his audience after three trips.

Conor Gallagher, an English midfielder from the Atlético de Madrid, admitted to having been impressed by the club of the capital after facing the PSG in the LDC league phase. Qualified in the semifinals of the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain is considered one of the favourites to raise the cup to the big ears. Fabio Capello, famous Italian coach, shares this opinion but believes that Arsenal has something more at the moment.

This Tuesday evening at 8:45 p.m., Paris Saint-Germain travels to Nantes to play his late Ligue 1 match. The club of the capital seeks to prolong its invincibility in the championship and beat a historic record: the largest number of games without defeat outside (38), currently owned by Milan AC.

Luis Enrique could take advantage of this meeting to perform a life-size rehearsal of his eleven type, with Donnarumma in the cages, Marquinhos captain in the heart of the defense, and Pacho back after being left out due to a virus. On the sides, Zaire-Emery and Nuno Mendes should hold the corridors. In the middle, Neves-Vitinha-Ruiz should ensure the perfect technical and mobile balance to prepare the English challenge.

In attack, Ousmane Dembélé should make his big comeback in a role of fake number 9, while Kvaratskhelia and Barcola will animate the corridors. This likely composition could look like the Parisian version of the Champions League attack.
