Nordi Mukiele commits to Sunderland a new English adventure

Nordi Mukiele, the right side of Paris Saint-Germain, is about to leave the club of the capital to join Sunderland AFC in England. After being designated as an unwanted player on the Paris roster, the 27-year-old should find a new playground in the Premier League. The newly promoted Sunderland is the club that shows the most interest in recruiting the player from Montreuil, with an estimated offer of about 12 million euros. Mukiele, under contract until 2027 with the PSG, had previously refused proposals from Saudi clubs, indicating his desire to pursue his career elsewhere.

The transfer of Nordi Mukiele represents an interesting opportunity for the player, who joins a club that has achieved an ambitious summer mercato, integrating both experienced players like Granit Xhaka and promising young talent. The French law side, with its experience in the Champions League (35 matches), is expected to strengthen the defence of the Sunderland. After a successful loan to Bayer Leverkusen last season, this start marks a final step in Mukiele’s career, which had lost hope of returning to a regular place in Luis Enrique’s team.

According to RMC Sport information, Paris Saint-Germain and Sunderland have reached an agreement for a definitive transfer of Nordi Mukiele. The Parisian club even allowed the player to go to England to finalize the operation. Although the exact amount of the agreement has not been made public, this transfer seems to be very advanced. Mukiele brings his experience and quality of play to meet the defensive needs of Sunderland, in a team that aims to win in the Premier League.
