UEFA has for several years set up a fund for European clubs that make players available for international competitions. Over the period 2020-2024, the European body paid €233 million for the Euros 2020 and 2024, but with more than 900 clubs affected, the share is less for each.

OL is one of the 27 French training courses that received these benefits, but the amount received is only €381,956.54. While the Lyon club has had fewer internationals in recent years, this amount seems to be derisory compared to that of other less-hungry clubs.

Nevertheless, OL will not fear this money, even if it may seem unimportant in terms of the other allowances paid.
