The Racing Club of Strasbourg officially announced this Monday the loan without option to buy its young defender, Yoni Gomis, aged 19, at the KSK Beveren. This destination, which has been mentioned for a few hours, confirms the player’s transfer to the Belgian club in second division. Gomis thus joined a team that ranked fourth in the Challenger Pro League last season. This movement represents an opportunity for the young Frenchman to gain experience in competition.

Arriving in Racing last summer from Le Havre, Yoni Gomis had only one appearance with the first team, during a Coupe de France match against Thionville-les-Vosges last January. His playing time was mainly concentrated with the reserve, where he played 14 matches in National 3. This experience allowed him to develop and confirm his potential.

The young defender, already a French international in the U20 category, recently won the Maurice Revello tournament in June, under the leadership of coach Bernard Diomède.
