The Euro 2025 sees a strong Lyon representation among the teams involved. Ten players playing at Olympique Lyonnais took part in the Swiss competition, including Julienne Brand. Arriving at OL last summer, the young player is part of the German team. Germany, led by Christian Würcka, started the tournament on a positive note with a 2-0 win over Poland, a game in which Julienne Brand was particularly bright in scoring a goal and delivering a decisive pass.
Julienne Brand took advantage of a successful season in Wolfsburg, where she scored six goals and delivered five assists in 24 tenures, to start the tournament with a high morale. Germany will face Denmark on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. for the second game of the group phase. Denmark still has no points after a 1-0 defeat against Sweden. A victory against Denmark could allow Germany to qualify for the quarterfinals.
In the same group, Sweden will face Poland on the same day at 9 p.m. Germany aims to win its 9th European title, after being eliminated in the final of the 2022 edition by England on the score of 2-1.
