Jean-François Vullliez, after a 13-year career with Olympique Lyonnais, took over the direction of the Espoirs du Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) group. His career path is rich and varied: he started with pre-training, then climbed the ranks to become director of the training centre before finishing as assistant to the professional team. More recently, he worked as an assistant coach at AC Horsens in Denmark. The PSG has trusted its expertise to mentor and develop young Parisian talent, a role it assumes with its recognized experience in French football.
At the same time, Corentin Tolisso’s future is at the centre of attention. Promoted captain of Olympique Lyonnais following the departure of Alexandre Lacazette, mid-31 is now the team leader for the new season. In spite of his key role, he arouses a keen interest from several clubs, including Manchester United, who would be willing to offer him a substantial salary. This situation is all the more notable as OL foresees a fiscal austerity policy.
According to sources close to the Saudi club of Neom, newly promoted in D1, Corentin Tolisso would be considered a plan B in case of failure in the negotiations for the acquisition of Granit Xhaka. Neom SC, who recently recruited Alexandre Lacazette, would like to take over the Lyon community, in part thanks to his friendship with the French striker. Moreover, Tolisso would not be destabilized by a transfer to Neom, as he would find Saïd Benrahma, a current OL teammate.
