Paris Saint-Germain is about to formalize the acquisition of Lucas Chevalier, 23-year-old goaltender, from the LOSC. The transfer, estimated at 55 million euros including bonuses, will be announced within the next few hours after the successful medical visit. The summer is set to be an exciting event for the PSG, particularly as regards Bradley Barcola’s potential departure to Liverpool. The young winger, trained in Lyon, provoked controversy during his transfer to the PSG in 2023, with some Lyon supporters considering him a “traitor”. Several European clubs, including Liverpool, are now interested in its profile, and a transfer to over EUR 100 million is possible. However, OL regrets that it did not include a resale clause in Barcola’s contract, which means that it will receive only a small share of any surplus value.
At the same time, Villarreal is very interested in the acquisition of Carlos Soler, midfielder currently considered an unwanted PSG player. The Spanish club, with the approval of its former coach Marcelinho, wants to strengthen its midfielder with this 28-year-old player. Although PSG is aware of Villarreal’s interest, it does not wish to sell Soler at a lower price than its initial acquisition of EUR 18 million. This inflexible position of the Frisian PSG Villarreal, which hopes for a quick resolution of the case before the start of the Liga season on 15 August.
