Keller calls for unity and defends multi-ownership

During his press conference, President Marc Keller expressed a call for unity, addressing the minority of critical supporters and inviting them to support the team during the first minutes of the match against Marseille. He stressed the importance of their encouragement for the motivation of players and hoped that a constructive dialogue could ease tensions around the issue of multi-ownership. Keller reiterated that the club remains faithful to its values and that current actions are carried out with this consideration, expressing the hope that this meeting can contribute to a rapprochement.

Turning to the issue of relations with Chelsea, Marc Keller pointed out that the sale of the club had been a positive catalyst, allowing for ambitious and competent investors. He stressed that Racing is not just a simple Chelsea “nourier”, but that this relationship is mutually beneficial, offering the club a new ambition and considerable resources. Keller also expressed his perplexity about the persistent criticism of multi-ownership in Strasbourg, comparing it favourably with Blue&Co’s vision and competence, while pointing out that the club remains rooted in its identity and that Blue&Co’s investments exceed initial expectations.

Regarding the departure of Ishรฉ Samuels-Smith, Marc Keller specified that the player belongs to Chelsea and that his recruitment was aimed at strengthening the left sector. However, after a few weeks, it became clear that the collaboration was not optimal for the well-being of the player. To give him more play time and an environment more conducive to his development, the transfer was cancelled as Chelsea did not buy it. This decision was made by favouring the well-being of the player, thus giving him an opportunity to rebuild himself.
