Mbappé withdraws GMP complaint to ongoing financial agreement

Kylian Mbappé and his team withdrew the complaint against Paris Saint-Germain concerning charges of moral harassment and attempted extortion of signature. This approach, announced by the newspaper L’Équipe, marks a turning point in the tense relations between the attacker and the Parisian club. The complaint, initially filed on 16 May, led to the opening of judicial information by the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office and the appointment of two investigating judges. The withdrawal of this complaint suggests a willingness to de-escalate and seek common ground.

This development is part of a deteriorating relationship between Mbappé and the PSG, whose President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had expressed friendly feelings towards the player after the victory in the Champions League. These statements, perceived as a sign of reconciliation, seem to have helped to ease tensions. It is therefore possible that both parties may seek to turn the page and build a more constructive relationship.

However, despite this rapprochement, Mbappé and his entourage continue to appeal to the Prud’hommes in order to recover the 55 million euros of wages and unpaid premiums. This separate legal action indicates that financial disputes persist and that the situation is not fully resolved. Future meetings, particularly in New Jersey, could provide a more conducive environment for discussion and resolution of these outstanding issues.
