ASSE wins a rough derby against OL
This week’s derby between ASSE and OL was marked by a strong polemic, but the ASSE won. This game made a sensation in League 1. Didier Digard, coach of Le Havre, did not hide his frustration and anger at arbitral decisions.
At a press conference, Digard said: “The Derby? I’ve lived it very badly. We agreed to be the little ones and all those decisions that have been against us. Today, our future is at stake.”* The coach of Le Havre went on to say that “it is a mistake and we are the ones who pay for this error”.
Thanks to this victory against OL, ASSE is back in Le Havre. If the HAC remains ahead with a positive goal difference (+4), the Normans remain vigilant against the ambitions of their main competitor.
Didier Digard knows that his team still faces giants such as Monaco, Auxerre and Marseille. He said: “Even if we have done a quality performance against the PSG, it is not enough to take points. Mentally, it was difficult.” Regarding the next match against Monaco, Digard admitted that “he is a very good opponent with internationals. I don’t care about the European Cup. What I want is to keep myself.”.
