At its meeting of the Board of Directors on 23 April, the LFP formalized the official dates of the transfer periods for the 2025/2026 season. These decisions take into account the particular constraints of the coming year.

Upstream of the World Cup of Clubs which will take place from June 14 to July 13, 2025, an exceptional period of mercato will be opened from June 1 to 10, 2025. This window has been authorized by FIFA and aims to allow participating clubs to adjust their numbers before the start of the competition.

The usual summer mercato will begin on Monday, June 16, 2025 and end on Monday, September 1, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. With regard to winter mercato, it will open on Thursday 1 January 2026 and close on Monday 2 February 2026 at 8 p.m.

These adjustments ensure consistency between the requirements of international competitions and the needs of clubs for their preparations.
