Monegasque football club AS Monaco has formalized the transfer of its Ivorian international defender, Wiilfried Singo, to the Turkish club of Galatasaray. After two successful seasons in the club, Singo was sold for an estimated €30 million, with a 10% resale clause. Originally arrived from Torino for 9 million euros, Singo represents a significant added value for AS Monaco, which is also expected to make further departures in the next few hours, notably that of Eliesse Ben Seghir. The 24-year-old played 60 games with the Monegasque jersey and was able to make a place with the fans thanks to his combativity and his positive attitude.
The AS Monaco is currently in the midst of a renewal of its staff, with several players likely to leave the club. In addition to Ben Seghir and Soundiou Magassa, attacker Myron Boaadu has attracted interest from Dutch clubs, the PSV Eindhoven and the Ajax Amsterdam. The latter is looking for a potential replacement if Brian Brobbey engages elsewhere. Boaadu, who played 68 games with Monaco, scoring 10 goals and delivering 2 assists, is estimated at 7 million euros. His departure is part of an AS Monaco strategy to provide liquidity for the end of the mercato.
To replace Eliesse Ben Seghiir, who is expected to join Bayer Leverkusen, AS Monaco has agreed with FC Seville for the arrival of midfielder Stanis Idumbo. The 20-year-old, who played 14 games in Liga last season, is expected in the Principality to complete his medical examination. This transfer follows the departure of Willem Geubbeels to Paris FC, and allows FC Saint-Gall 1879 to find a replacement in attack. In addition, Malamine Efekele, an international French youth striker, left Monaco for a low transfer allowance, with a resale clause and potential bonuses.
