Cisse au Mans and physical challenges at the Racing Club in Strasbourg Alsace

The Racing Club of Strasbourg Alsace announced the loan of its central defender, Amadou Cisse, to the club Le Mans, playing in Ligue 2. This transfer, formalized this Friday, concerns the duration until the end of the season. Cisse, 19 years old, had joined the Alsatian club in June 2024 and had participated in some friendly meetings, but had played only one official match with the first team at the Coupe de France last season. He had just signed his first professional contract with Racing, which bound him until 2028.

At a press conference, Racing coach Liam Rosenior took stock of the team’s physical condition as it approached the recovery of Ligue 1 against Metz. Six players are currently injured, with variable return deadlines. Soumaila Coulibaly and Saidou Sow are out for several months, Diego is injured in the thigh and will miss the recovery, and Abakar Sylla will be absent for two to three games.

However, coach Rosenior highlighted the strength and depth of the group of players available. Guela Doué is in the race recovery phase, and Mathis Amougou should be able to play only the game against Metz. In addition, the return of Mamadou Sarr and the arrival of Lucas Hogsberg reinforce the defence. Despite the absences, Liam Rosenior is optimistic about the team’s ability to cope with future challenges.
