Monaco and Nottingham Forest: a promising friendly match for the coming season

AS Monaco played a friendly match against Nottingham Forest, finishing on a 0-0 draw and blank score. This game, the third in a series of summer friendly meetings, highlighted the team’s ability to dominate the debates, despite the strong defence of Nottingham Forest, the Premier League team. The ASM has even approached the goal several times, with striking attempts by Caio Henrique and Ouattara who have touched the amounts. Coach Adi Hรผtter was able to observe the entire squad, with a few players set up to avoid fatigue.

The starting composition of AS Monaco included Kรถhn as a guard, surrounded by Tzeze, Singo, Dier, and Caio Henrique in defence. In the middle of the field, Zakaria, Cabral, Bouabrรฉ, Akliouche, Golovin and Embolo ensured the link between defence and attack. In the second period, changes were made, with Diatta, Kehrer, Salisu, Ouattara, Minamino, Camara, Bamba, Michal, Biereth and Brunner taking part in the meeting. It is notable that the new recruits, Paul Pogba and Ansu Fati, did not appear on the match sheet.

This friendly match allowed AS Monaco to confirm its defensive strength by recording a second clean sheet consecutively. The team, under the supervision of President Dmitry Rybolovlev, demonstrated a willingness to move forward and prepare for the coming season. Despite the absence of some key players and tactical choices to manage summer preparation, the ASM can satisfy itself with this performance against a higher-level opponent. The goal remains to finalize the preparation with a group of 32 players in full shape.
