Renato Marin at PSG Skriniar ready to leave the club

Paris Saint-Germain formalized the arrival of Renato Marin, a young goaltender from AS Roma, under contract for the next five years. This transfer, which has been under negotiation for several months, allows the MTP to strengthen its structure for the future, particularly in a crucial position. Marin, who arrived at the end of the contract and thus in a free-play position, is part of the long-term construction strategy of the club, aimed at ensuring a solid succession after the departure of Louis Mouquet. This recruit represents a promising option for the goalkeeper position, strengthening the depth of the Parisian workforce.

At the same time, Slovak central defender Milan Skriniar should leave Paris Saint-Germain to join Fenerbahçe. An agreement was reached between the two clubs for an estimated transfer of 12 million euros fixed, supplemented by 3 million euros of bonuses. The finalisation of the transaction will depend on the conclusion of the payment plan. Skriniar, whose contract with the PSG runs until 2028, has already agreed on the terms of his future contract with the Fenerbahçe, even accepting a reduction in salary to facilitate his departure. This departure is also motivated by an estimated wage saving of EUR 10 million for the PSG, a priority in the club’s rebalancing strategy.

Skriniar’s departure could open up defensive reinforcement prospects for the PSG, although the situation regarding Illya Zabarnyi remains uncertain. The LOSC refused a Bournemouth offer for Bafodé Diawara, claiming a sum of 40 million euros. This situation illustrates the difficulties encountered by PSG in seeking defensive reinforcements, despite the efforts of Luis Campos and Luis Enrique to optimize the workforce and control costs. The defensive future of the club therefore remains an open site, requiring strategic adjustments and complex negotiations.
