Information from the English press now indicates that the third player transferred by Chelsea would be central defender Aaron Anselmino. Discussions between Chelsea and the Racing Club in Strasbourg continue on the loan of three players from the English club to the Alsatian club. Chelsea was waiting for the end of the World Cup of Clubs, won brilliantly 3-0 against the PSG, to advance in the negotiations and define the precise identity of the players concerned.

The two players already confirmed to join the Racing are Belgian Mike Penders, a promising 19-year-old goaltender but who has not yet played for Chelsea after being loaned to Genk last season (21 games of Jupiler Pro League), and the offensive environment Kendry Paez, whose transfer was announced for several months and who already trained at Racing Soprema Parc in April.
