Following AS Monaco’s victory over Olympique de Marseille (3-0) on the 29th day of Ligue 1, manager Adi Hütter expressed some dissatisfaction with the overall performance of his team. Although the return to second place in the rankings was a positive result, the coach pointed out that the Monegasque copy was not perfect, especially due to difficulties encountered during the first period. He insisted that the team was forced to run after the ball, indicating a lack of control and technical errors.
With regard to the shortcomings observed during the first half, Mr. Hütter deplored his team’s inability to control the game and the frequency of errors made. Attempts to launch in depth proved inappropriate, reinforcing the feeling of lack of control. The coach made it clear that he does not appreciate a situation where his team must constantly fight to recover the ball, stressing the need for a more proactive and controlled approach.
However, the team was able to correct the shot during the second period, keeping the ball more in possession and displaying a more structured game. This improvement allowed the AS Monaco to secure the victory and regain a position favourable to the standings. Hütter was satisfied with this responsiveness and stressed the importance of maintaining this positive momentum for future meetings.
