Rodrigo Mora extends in Porto against European lusts

According to reports of widespread interest among the major European institutions, notably Paris Saint-Germain, the young Portuguese talent, Rodrigo Mora should finally extend his commitment to the Porto club. This strategic decision would enable the Portuguese club to substantially enhance the player’s liberating clause, a measure designed to deter the lusts of several prestigious groups. Despite a denial of Paris Saint-Germain’s interest by its sports director, Luis Campos, persistent rumours about the 17-year-old offensive environment continued to court him across the continent.

The case took a decisive turn when specialized sources revealed that Rodrigo Mora should soon sign an additional five-year contract with his training club, potentially putting an end to speculation. However, a transfer in the coming summer cannot be totally excluded, although the price charged is expected to be exceptionally high. Mora’s new release clause would be set at EUR 100 million, a significant increase from its current value and a considerable amount for a player of that age.

This substantial increase reflects the determination of FC Porto to preserve its young talent, thus deterring the most ambitious clubs. The recent arrival of Rodrigo Mora under the aegis of Jorge Mendes’ agency, whose links with Saint-Germain Paris are well established, adds an intriguing dimension to this case, which therefore remains to be followed closely.
